The Argentine Film Festival will celebrate its fourth year at Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) on Sept. 6 to 10 with its continued fare of comedy and drama. This year’s edition will revolve around relationships within a family, between friends and acquaintances, and dreams that are yet to unfold. The line-up of films is set to bring the audiences to a different level of emotions and cinematic experience.

Showroom is a movie of Diego Peretti, which tells the story of a man whose only goal is to live in a capital city again. He leaves his family in “Delta del Tigre” and becomes an obsessive seller within the showroom of a new building: A mock-up apartment to be driven to absurd situations living on the brink of autism. Me Casé Con Un Boludo (I

Married a Dumbass) is a story of actors Fabián and Florencia who fall in love when working on a film set and immediately get married. Returning from their honeymoon, Florencia realizes that she has fallen in love with an irreparable idiot that she mistook for the film’s fictional character. A desperate Fabián asks the film’s screenwriter to write a few scenes for him as the character to try and win his new wife back.

In Inseparables, a lovely relationship arises between Felipe, a multi-millionaire, and a young unemployed Tito. Tito works for Felipe for a while as a therapeutic assistant. How they treat each other starts in humor and develops into a relationship that is familiar. In Vino Para Robar (To Fool a Thief), Sebastian meets Natalia while she is trying to steal an important piece of art from a museum. The rivals, however, will have to work together to pull off a complex robbery that involves a valuable and unique bottle of Bordeaux Malbec from the mid-19th century in Mendoza. In a world full of glamour, between vineyards and mountains, as they prepare for the robbery, they will discover that nothing will come as they think.

Los Guantes Magicos (The Magic Gloves) is a story of a remisero who decides to sell his old Renault 12 to enter the strange business of importing magic gloves. Carlos Gutiérrez, in El Ultimo Elvis (The last Elvis), is a separated singer with a young daughter named Lisa Marie who does not see him very often. He has always lived his life as if he were the reincarnation of his idol Elvis Presley, denying his identity and reality. But an unexpected situation forces him to take care of his daughter. In those days, Carlos manages to be a father and Lisa Marie learns to accept the situation as it is. But fate has a difficult decision to offer. On a journey of madness and music, Carlos will have to choose between his dream of being Elvis and his family.
