Phl Navy joins wargames in Australia

Members of the Philippine Navy on board the warship BRP Ramon Alcaraz participat­ed in a week-long naval exercise in Darwin, Australia.

Together with other Navy vessels participat­ing in the Exercise KAKADU 2018, Filipino sailors started the Fleet Tactical Exercises on Friday.

The activities involved 24 ships and submarines, 21 aircraft and around 3,000 personnel from 27 countries from Asia-Pacific, Indian Ocean and the Middle East.

Naval Task Force Commander Capt. Junjie Tabuada said the wargames would enhance the knowledge and skills of Filipino sailors.

The exercises will end on Sept. 13.
