Village exec, 3 others nabbed for illegal logging

TUGUEGARAO CITY – Police arrested a barangay

kagawad (village councilman) and three others Saturday for illegal logging in San Mariano, Isabela.

Isabela police director Senior Superintendent Mariano Rodriguez said Kagawad Rosito Limbauan, 33, was caught transporting over 1,000 board-feet of hardwood lumber to Barangay Daragutan East.

Also arrested were Crispin Mangaba, 28, Arsenio Hernandez, 45, and Edgardo Pascaran, 21.

Ronald Martinez, 33, escaped.
