TOYOTA TURNS OVER HIACE UNITS TO GOV’T:

Toyota Motor Corp. Japan made a donation of three brand new units of Hiace Commuter to the Philippine government, in commemoration of Toyota’s three decades of strong presence in the industry. The donation was first announced during the 30th anniversary event of Toyota Motor Philippines Corp. early in August at the Grand Hyatt Manila, which was attended by President Duterte and TMC president Akio Toyoda. The donation is envisioned to highlight the Hiace as a people-mover, contributing to daily mobility of many Filipinos. Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea (fifth from right) received the donation on behalf of the government in a ceremony held at the Kalayaan Hall in Malacañang Palace.
