Tracie Anglo Dizon at Pablo Gallery
Tracie Anglo Dizon holds her first solo show titled “State of the Market,” which opens on Sept. 15 at Pablo Gallery, C-11 South of Market, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
Dizon paints “patterns” she photographs such as patterns of danggit, tuyo, houseplants, shells, etc.
“They’re what I would call allover paintings, which I guess go back to Jackson Pollock and the abstract expres- sionists,” Dizon explained. “I like painting density, which I feel is our urban condition. We also have this pattern of poverty and corruption which we can’t seem to get out of, hence, the title of my show.”
