Rosscapili’s ‘Fireworks’ at SM Art Center
Two cities — Paris, the City of Lights, and Sydney, the City of Fireworks — have left an indelible mark on Rosscapili’s imagination and are currently showcased in “Fireworks — Painting with Lights,” a solo show organized by Galerie Anna which opens on Sept. 15 at the SM Art Center.
In Rosscapili’s latest paintings, the silhouette of trees and elements emerge as a tribute to nature. These scenes are inspired by colorful gradients seen only when the night unfolds: exploding stars and streaks of light mingling with the stars and the moon, transforming nighttime into day. “Fireworks” runs until Sept. 26.
