Phl bet crowned 2018 Miss Tourism Worldwide
Philippine bet Zara Carbonell was crowned as the first Miss Tourism Worldwide (2018) besting 21 other beauties during the coronation night held at Pacific Palace Hotel in Batam, Indonesia on Sept. 9
Zara was also Miss Social Media Queen, Best in Talent first runnerup and one of the four Queens Ambassadress (along with Misses Thailand, Singapore and Japan).
Zara, 25, is the daughter of Cris Villanueva and former model-turned-businesswoman Zhar Carbonell. A staunch advocate of Dear Self. org, Zara is a graduate of Organization Communications from De La Salle University. She placed second princess to 2017 Miss World Philippines Laura Lehmann and was 2012 Bb. Unibersidad. She competed in the 2012 Miss Teenager Universe in Guatemala.
Adjudged runners-up were (from left) Cassandra Delanchy of France (third, also Miss Glamour); Zabelo Hlabisa of South Africa (second, also Miss Talent and Queen of People Choice); Phacharanan Thiranithitnan of Thailand (first, also Woman of Empowerment); and Perkarskaia Natalya of Siberia (fourth, also Miss Photogenic).
Recipients of other major special awards were Shwetha Yadav of India, Miss Congeniality; Nhi Pham of Vietnam, Best in Evening Gown; Alina Shcherbina of Russia, Miss Bikini (Best in Swimsuit); and Tennissa Febriani of Indonesia, Best National Costume.
