Awesome August for GMA Regional TV
From mounting mall shows, celebrating festivals to launching new projects — August was productive for GMA Regional TV.
Gabby Concepcion, Thea Tolentino and Jason Abalos kicked off the series of treats last Aug. 1 by celebrating the Kapuso Fiesta of the Municipality of Compostela Valley.
In Cagayan de Oro (CDO) last Aug. 3, Ashley Ortega performed on the newly-opened ice-skating rink of SM CDO Downtown Premiere.
Kapuso Oppa Alexander Lee and Marucci, meanwhile, did a Kapuso
Mall Show at Abreeza Mall in Davao last Aug. 4. Last Aug. 16, Mikael Daez and Megan Young celebrated the Lemery town fiesta with Sef Cadayona, Joyce Ching, Donita Nose, Emmanuelle Vera and Karenina Haniel at SM City Lemery, Batangas. Kapag Nahati ang Puso’s Bea Binene, David Licauco and Benjamin Alves also took part in the Kapuso Mall Show.
Up north, Ika-5 Utos’ Klea Pineda, Migo Adecer and Jeric Gonzales met fans at Robinsons Place Pangasinan last Aug. 17. The Clash judge Christian Bautista serenaded the
Kapusong Pangasinense with Clash- ers Garret Bolden, Anthony Rosaldo and Psalms David. In Mindanao,
Ika-5 Utos’s Jake Vargas and Inah de Belen went to Robinsons Place Iligan. Joining them were Clashers Josh Madaliday, Melbelline Caluag and Josh Adornado.
Davao’s Kadayawan Festival saw a star-studded line-up. Last Aug. 18,
Onanay’s Jo Berry, Mikee Quintos, Kate Valdez, Rochelle Pangilinan, Vaness del Moral and Enrico Cuenca had a
Kapuso Mall Show at Gaisano Grand Mall Toril. The following day, Victor Magtanggol himself Alden Richards boarded the Kapuso float during the
Pamulak sa Kadayawan with Pancho Magno, Kristoffer Martin and Dion Ignacio. Their co-star Andrea Torres later joined them at SM City Davao.
The Clash judge Lani Misalucha, who was joined by Clashers Charline Fiel, Lyra Micolob and Chemp Raña, also rendered a mini-concert.
Kambal, Karibal’s Bianca Umali, Kyline Alcantara and Miguel Tanfelix also went to Vista Mall Iloilo that day. Clashers Kyryll Ugdiman, Mika Gorospe and Jasmine Fitzgerald joined them. Tom Rodriguez was at Robinsons Place Iloilo for a Kapuso Mall Show with Thea.
In Cebu, Alexander and Marucci entertained the crowd at Ayala Center. With them were Clashers Esterlina Olmedo, Golden Cañedo and Danielle Ozaraga. Last Aug. 20, Contessa’s Glaiza de Castro and Lauren Young were joined by Ruru Madrid at SM City Lucena in Quezon.
After Davao, Alden went to Robinsons Place Pangasinan last Aug. 21. He was joined by Pancho, Lindsay Johnston and Dion. In Iloilo City, Gabby graced the Senior Citizen Day last Aug. 22 at Plaza Libertad.
Kristoffer Martin joined Jeric and Inah, and David at Robinsons North Tacloban last Aug. 23. Jason and Donita Nose also flew to Iloilo last Aug. 24 and 25 for the Iloilo Charter Day celebration.
Onanay’s Wendell Ramos and Rochelle Pangilinan, with Alexander and Marucci, were at CSI The City Mall Dagupan last Aug. 25. Tom also graced the Miss Cagayan De Oro coronation night on Aug. 25. Meanwhile, celebrating this year’s
Higalaay Festival were Jason, Mika dela Cruz and David who went to CDO’s Centrio Mall last Aug. 30. Alden and his Victor Magtanggol co-stars went to Robinsons Place in Bacolod last Aug. 31.
On top of the successful mall shows, GMA Regional TV also launched the Hiligaynon newscast
One Western Visayas last Aug. 27. It’s anchored by lawyer Sedfrey Cabaluna with Bacolod co-anchor and correspondent Adrian Prietos, and Iloilo co-anchor Kaitlene Rivilla. GMA RTV also launched #SpreadKindness, a public service campaign in the regions to recognize random acts of kindness. Alden awarded the unsung heroes when he went to Davao, Pangasinan and Bacolod.
