Lucky Chinatown celebrates Mid-Autumn Festival in Manila

Lucky Chinatown hosts the city’s biggest MidAutumn Festival, also known as the Mooncake Festival, featuring exhibits, performanc­es, games, activities and promos until Sept. 24.

Customers can visit the Mooncake Fair until Sept. 21 to see an extensive collection of mooncakes created by chefs from top hotels in Manila, as well as Lucky Chinatown establishm­ents.

On Sept. 22, Lucky Chinatown will host the Great Dice Game at the mall atrium. Guests get a chance to win prizes such as hotel gift certificat­es from Belmont and Ramada, Zen Institute and more.

On Sept. 22 and 23, children can participat­e in the Moon Fest Mural Contest where students from Manila will compete to create the most original and creative murals inspired by the festival.

To kick off the festivitie­s on Sept. 23, Lucky Chinatown will also host the Grand Festival Celebratio­n at the mall atrium, where guests can witness cultural performanc­es from Manila Chinese-Filipino schools and other partner organizati­ons. At 4 p.m. on Sept. 23, the talent competitio­n of the much-anticipate­d Little Mr. & Ms. Chinatown pageant will be held.

On Sept. 24, students will compete to design the best and most creative lanterns for the Lantern Design Artfest that will decorate a lighted lantern tunnel located at the bridgeway to Lucky Chinatown, Building A.
