Send Christ­mas mail pack­ages early — Ph­lPost

To en­sure that let­ters and pack­ages will reach their des­ti­na­tions in time for Christ­mas, the pub­lic and over­seas Filipino work­ers (OFWs) have been ad­vised to send them early, the Philip­pine Postal Corp. (Ph­lPost) said yes­ter­day.

Ph­lPost chief Joel Otarra said mail and parcels should be sent be­fore the pre­scribed dates to guar­an­tee timely ar­rival dur­ing the hol­i­day sea­son.

The pub­lic has been ad­vised to send their items not later than the spec­i­fied date to en­sure de­liv­ery be­fore Christ­mas and New Year’s Day.

Hol­i­day-re­lated do­mes­tic and in­ter­na­tional ex­press mails (DEMS) should be sent not later than Dec. 12 and Dec. 10, re­spec­tively.

Do­mes­tic and in­ter­na­tional reg­is­tered mail should be sent be­fore Dec. 3 and not later than Nov. 26, re­spec­tively.

Do­mes­tic or­di­nary mail should be sent on or be­fore Dec. 5, in­ter­na­tional or­di­nary (air) mail not later than Dec. 3 and in­ter­na­tional sur­face (sea) mail on or be­fore Oct. 17.
