Teen slain in daily Caloocan killings

An 18-year-old high school stu­dent, whose only record was break­ing cur­few last month, was shot dead Fri­day night in the lat­est of daily shoot­ings in Caloocan City by mo­tor­cy­cle-rid­ing as­sailants.

Ray­mond Ilus­trisimo was drink­ing with friends in front of a store in Barangay 178 when an as­sailant wear­ing a face mask ar­rived on a mo­tor­cy­cle driven by an ac­com­plice and shot the vic­tim in the head.

Ilus­trisimo was the sixth vic­tim of what seemed to be daily shoot­ings in Caloocan since Mon­day by masked mo­tor­cy­clerid­ing as­sailants.

He was de­clared dead on ar­rival at the Jose Ro­driguez Me­mo­rial Hos­pi­tal.

He had no record in the barangay for il­le­gal drug use, ac­cord­ing to the Barangay 178 in­ves­ti­ga­tor Raul Diama Sr.

Among the other vic­tims of mo­tor­cy­cle-rid­ing as­sailants in Caloocan were al­leged po­lice in­for­mant Clariz Ocampo, 26, on Oct. 10; Po­lice Of­fi­cer 1 Marvin Ger­man, Oct 9; Wali Bom­bong on Oct. 8; Ar­mando Pur­cia, Oct. 10; and Ge­orge dela Cruz, Oct. 11.
