Jollibee readies opening of 1st store in UK

-

Jollibee Foods Corp. is set to open its first ever Jollibee Store in the United Kingdom (UK) on Oct. 20 as part of the company’s accelerated expansion plans around the globe. The milestone store opening brings the largest Asian restaurant company a step closer to its vision of becoming one of the top five restaurant companies in the world.

JFC is targeting to open 50 stores in five years in the whole of Europe, half of which is in the United Kingdom. The London branch, being the most recent among Jollibee’s international store opening set for this year, is the second Jollibee store in Europe, following the launch of Jollibee Milan in March where long lines gathered for hours during the opening day.

“The store opening is an important event for the company’s expansion journey. We chose Earls Court as the location of the first UK store as it is the home of the largest Filipino community in London. We are delighted to share Jollibee’s signature brand of great tasting food and friendly service to them,” said Ernesto Tanmantiong, chief executive office of JFC.

Jollibee fan favorites, including crispylicious and juicylicious Chickenjoy, the world-famous plus other classic meals such as Jolly Spaghetti with its signature sweet-style sauce, Yumburgers and other products will be offered on the menu.

Jollibee continues to expand its horizons in the global market, spreading the joy of eating not just to Filipino communities abroad, but also to locals. Jollibee has succeeded winning in the taste and preference of markets such as Vietnam, Brunei, Singapore and Hong Kong.

Also launching in the second half of the year is their first store in Manhattan (the second branch in New York). Jollibee is also expected to expand to Malaysia and open their first store in Kota Kinabalu soon. To date, there are more than 1,300 Jollibee brand stores globally.

Jollibee is the flagship brand of Jollibee Corp. – the largest Asian restaurant company in the world. It has 14 brands with over 4,000 stores across 20 countries, and continues to expand its network beyond the Philippines as it largest to even the split between its domestic and foreign sales.
