Greenfield expands retail space portfolio in city centers

-

The economic growth in the Philippines, forecasted at 6.8 percent in 2018 and 6.9 percent in 2019 by the Asian Development Bank, drives the expansion of the retail industry which is now part of the Filipino culture, with malls, stores, and other similar establishments becoming ubiquitous. The retail sector is also projected to make up 20 percent of the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) by 2025, according to research firm AT Kearney.

Greenfield Development Corporation, one of the most diversified real estate companies in the country, is taking advantage of the retail sector boom by offering prime retail spaces at its master-planned developments, namely Greenfield District in Mandaluyong City and Greenfield City in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. Retailers have found a partner in Greenfield in showcasing their business and maintaining a healthy baseline at the heart of city centers.

Establishing the retail leadership of Greenfield District are its The Portal retail zone with its foodie and lifestyle destinations and The Hub al fresco food strip. Soon adding to the collection of their wide range of comfort food and artisanal cuisines are Leezat, The Beer Factory, and Koreya. The strategic location of the township supports the top-performer status of well-known establishments like Yellow Cab, Wendy’s Mang Inasal, McDonald’s, KFC, 7/11 and Chowking.

The Soho Central residential and commercial condominium located near the intersection of EDSA and Shaw Boulevard is also soon to be home to Rex Bookstore, New Bistro Deli, Asia United Bank, and Powermac Corporate Center.

Poised to expand the retail portfolio of the township further are the Twin Oaks Place East Tower Retail Podium, Greenfield Tower Retail Podium, and the Zitan Retail Podium. Housed at the Zitan mixed-use high-rise community are Unilever’s Aviance skin care and beauty products directselling store, and the Urban Smiles dental clinic.

Small and medium-sized enterprises also find leveraging opportunities at Greenfield’s weekly and year-round events that invite various merchants. Weekly festivities at Greenfield District in Mandaluyong City include the ever popular Greenfield Weekend Market happening every Saturday, the Kaleidoscope play of lights and colors that happens every Friday, and the Sunset Fair every Sunday. For the rest of 2018, events to watch for include Halloween-themed events, Christmas tree lighting, celebrity bazaars and more.

For Greenfield City in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, businesses located in the south benefit from the list of affairs at the township that is a popular destination for even urban dwellers from around Metro Manila. A highlight for families and shoppers are the events at the Paseo Outlets which is also the country’s largest outlet mall that sells over 100 international brands at a lesser price.

Upcoming events are the Halloweenthemed FUNtastic Wednesday at Paseo Outlets on Oct. 31; Black Friday Weekend Sale across malls of the community on Nov. 23 to 25; Celebrity Christmas Market and New Year Countdown both to be held at the Paseo Outlets on Dec. 2 and Dec. 31. Weekly events to watch out for are the Greenfield City Weekend Market; FUNtastic Wednesdays, Music & Spoken Word Poetry and soon, It’s Fri-YAY!.

Greenfield’s expansion of its retail space portfolio exhibits the strength of the economy, as well as that of the company in providing good venues for retailers to showcase their products and services that in turn offer numerous lifestyle options and a selection of activities for its residents and for city dwellers.
