Boat sinks off Quezon; 1 dead, 35 rescued

A child died while 35 other passengers were rescued when a motorboat sank off Quezon province yesterday.

M/B Princess Donna was heading to Sumbrero island when it sank in the waters off Barangay Pugawan, San Francisco, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) said.

Capt. Armand Balilo, PCG spokesman, said PCG personnel responded to the accident at around 10:30 a.m. The survivors were brought to Sitio Mayantoc.
