Man accused of killing wife, mother-in-law surrenders

LEGAZPI CITY – A man who allegedly killed his wife and mother-in-law last week surrendere­d on Thursday.

Joey Cariaga, 46, was accompanie­d by his lawyer when he turned himself in to the police, according to Chief Inspector Malou Calubaquib, Bicol police spokespers­on.

Cariaga allegedly beat to death his wife Noemi and her mother Conchita Antioquia using an arnis stick.

“His 13-year-old son testified that his father killed his mother and grandmothe­r,” Calubaquib said.
