M Lhuillier ventures into logistics

- – Lawrence Agcaoili

M Lhuillier Financial Services Inc. has diversified into the logistics business through a partnership with QuadX to bring convenience to its customers.

Michael Lhuillier, president and CEO of M Lhuillier, said the partnership with QuadX that owns, maintains and operates e-commerce websites like Shipping Cart, Check Me Out and XPost is a good addition to its services since it is not part of its traditional business.

“We don’t know much about this space, and we feel that the way to grow is through strategic alliances, and that is what we have here today with QuadX,” Lhuillier said.

Having 2,400 branches nationwide and with their continuous lookout on doing something new for its customers, M Lhuillier could play a significant role in serving customers through its wide network, and logistics is what they would like to offer today and moving forward.

The partnership between the money remittance provider and the digital logistics company would develop services that are better, cheaper, and more convenient to their customers.

“I believe to get ahead in business today, you need to launch new and exciting products that touch on technology, and that is what QuadX brings to the table,” he added.

For his part, QuadX COO Achilles Reyes said the service is already up and about barely four months after talks for the partnership started.

Reyes said customers is seen saving a good amount of time and effort in just dropping the packages at any M Lhuillier branches as opposed to waiting all day for their packages to get picked up.

“What is actually being offered here is the convenience. And since M Lhuillier branches are the most accessible nationwide and they share the same vision as we do in QuadX, this partnership saw an opportunity of changing your routine and save you more of your time,” Reyes added.
