66 drug suspects arrested in MM

At least 66 persons believed to be involved in drugs were apprehende­d in separate operations in Metro Manila in the past two days.

Fifty of them were nabbed in Quezon City.

Quezon City Police District director Chief Superinten­dent Joselito Esquivel Jr. said the suspects were rounded up in Barangays Santa Monica, Pansol, Damayang Lagi and Baesa.

In Marikina, six drug suspects were arrested by police in antinarcot­ics operations.

Authoritie­s said four of the suspects were nabbed after they were caught sniffing shabu in a shanty in Barangay Concepcion Uno.

They were Emerly Pascua, Ricardo Pascual, Michael Micabalo and Jon Jon Buenaventu­ra.

Imanuel Lopez and Aldrin Lacuna were nabbed after they allegedly sold shabu to a policeman who posed as a buyer in Barangay Nangka.

In Pasay City, siblings Ricardo and Raymund Espinosa were arrested for allegedly sniffing shabu at a public market.

Police said the Espinosas were on the drug watchlist.

Three more drug suspects were collared by police in another drug bust along Roxas Boulevard.

They were Roberto Torillos, 39; Khalifeh de la Cruz, 21, and Aren Barloso, 30.

Nine persons were arrested by police for possession of illegal drugs in Caloocan City and Tondo in Manila.
