CSC organizes authentic leadership forum
The Civil Service Commission (CSC), hoping to awaken genuine love to serve among government officials and personnel, is holding an authentic leadership forum this month.
To know the positive implications of authentic leadership on an organization, it has invited local and international thought leaders to discuss the topic in its 4th Quarter Civil Service Institute (CSI) Leadership Series 2018 on Nov. 21 at the agency’s Resource Center in Quezon City.
The CSC said authenticity refers to a sense of genuineness and leaders today “are urged to be authentic or genuine with their thoughts and acts, and uphold beliefs that promote the welfare of the organization ahead of their own interests. They lead with their heart and are always in pursuit of the organization’s vision and mission.”
The CSI is inviting government leaders to this final offering of CSI Leadership Series for 2018 to discover how being genuine, fair-minded, and more importantly how knowing themselves would impact the fulfillment of their roles as stewards of their organization’s success.
Such event, the CSC said, will also help leaders become servant heroes, leading with efficiency and effectiveness, and championing valuesdriven practices and decisions.
Local and international speakers in the forum include Baker McKenzie Global Services Manila people director Eric Riego de Dios, Steel Asia senior vice president for operations Benjamin Magalong, Parole and Probation Administration administrator Manuel Co, and Strive High Pte. Ltd. founder and director Preeti Dubey.
