Health and wellness buffs will surely be delighted as leading nutrition and wellness brand General Nutrition Centers (GNC Philippines) formally opened its SM Aura store with a new look to coincide with the brand’s “bigger, better and stronger” launch in the country. US Ambassador Sung Kim was the guest of honor at the event. Group CEO and executive director of Singapore-based ONI Global Pte. Ltd. Cynthia Poa and GNC Philippines general manager Vasanth Raj were present to welcome guests. ONI Global holds the franchise for GNC. GMA Artist Center stars Ashley Ortega, Ayeesha Cervantes and Addy Raj, a health buff who is very interested in GNC shakes and protein bars, graced the affair.

GNC, a pioneer in the health and supplement industry, has been in the Philippines since 1994 and now operates 38 stores nationwide. All stores in the Philippines are currently being updated to align with those in GNC Singapore, Malaysia and Taiwan. These updates include a wider selection of new products, extensive training of store staff about the products offered, improved customer service, and door-todoor delivery through the company’s online marketplaces and logistics partners in the region. The store caters to everyone, from kids to adults.

“It’s not just a store for athletes. We have different products such as a time-release Vitamin C that’s perfect for smokers and drinkers. It’s also gentle on the stomach,” said Poa.

GNC offers an assortment of health, wellness and performance products including sports nutrition and weight management supplements, vitamins, herbs and greens, health and beauty, food and drink, and other general merchandise. The store’s most popular products include the GNC multivitamins, a scientifically formulated multivitamins that is lifestyle, gender and age specific; and the GNC Burn 60, a clinically proven thermogenic formula that helps enhance metabolism, burn calories and boost energy levels.
