PVB donates diorama to WWII Museum

-

The life-size WWII-era Sherman tank replica in the last History Con is now located at the BTVWWII Museum along Veterans Road, Taguig City. The diorama was one of the highlights of the 2018 History Con at the Philippine Veterans Bank (PVB) display and exhibition. It depicts one of the most famous photos taken during the Battle for Manila in early 1945, of a US Sherman tank smashing through the gates of Fort Santiago. In a simple turnover ceremony, PVB chairman Roberto de Ocampo stated that the elaborate diorama would attract more visitors to BTVWWII (Board of Trustees for the Veterans of World War II) Museum and highlight the heroism of our WWII veterans and give today’s generation a better perspective of what our forefathers went through. The museum, open Mondays to Fridays, is dedicated to Philippine World War II history.
