IEE showcases building innovations at PhilConstruct 2018
International Elevator and Equipment, Inc. (IEE), showcased its building innovations under the Mitsubishi Electric brand at the recent PhilConstruct 2018, the biggest construction show in the Philippines.
IEE, the local affiliate of Mitsubishi Electric Corporation in the country, drew dozens of construction engineers and even First Lady Cieleto “Honeylet” Avanceña to its “Building Solutions Through Cutting-Edge Technologies” technical seminar featuring Mitsubishi Electric high-speed elevators, oil-less chillers and energy-efficient diesel generators.
IEE’s exhibit booth displaying other Mitsubishi Electric products was also a crowd-drawer, winning the Best Booth Champion award during the three-day event held at the SMX Convention Center, SM Lanang, Davao City.
In the seminar, Shamzul Ramli Fazri, sales support manager of Chat UnionClimaveneta, discussed the top Italian commercial and industrial air-conditioning (AC) brand Climaveneta, an ultra-compact water-cooled chiller that uses magnetic levitation technology to achieve top-level efficiency. With centrifugal oilfree compressors, the AC eliminates the need for lubricant, has an extremely low start-up in-rush current, and boasts the most silent compressors available in the market for its extremely reduced vibration.
Herosh Kumar, sales executive of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) Engine System Asia Pte Ltd., discussed Mitsubishi Electric’s high- and medium-capacity, heavy-duty generators that provide reliable backup power while Wilfredo C. Aquino, IEE senior sales manager of the Elevator & Escalator Division, presented the latest model called Nexway-S Package R Series, which offers a rated capacity of 13 persons (1,000 kgs) to 18 persons (1,350 kgs), rated speed range of 210 m/min (3.5 mps) and 240 m/min (4.0 mps) and maximum travel height of up to 180 m.
PhilConstruct 2018 guests also learned about IEE’s other AC products and services from its 6m-by-6m booth though the company also provides passenger elevators and escalators, factory automation products, and jet towel hand dryers.
Joel Jopia, manager of IEE Vismin, said IEE is a regular PhilConstruct exhibitor and sponsor because of the many benefits of the show.
“It is a platform for face-to-face interaction and encourages utmost consumer engagements,” said Jopia.
“It also helps in creating brand proximity and is a great way to introduce, promote, and increase brand awareness to the market.”
Jopia said that through regional PhilConstruct events, IEE executives were able to meet and connect with prospective clients and strengthen bonds with existing customers within the VisMin region. They also learned new developments in the industry, closed deals with new customers during the show, strengthened Mitsubishi Electric, built sales leads, spoke directly to target market, and gathered competitors’ information and strategies.
IEE was one of the platinum sponsors of PhilConstruct 2018, which attracts each year hundreds of local and foreign companies offering construction equipment, building materials, interior and exterior products, and many more building construction products and services.
