“We are elated at winning this prestigious award for the fourth time. This award is a vote of confidence in Security Bank’s strategy, execution and results by a global expert award-giving body. At the center of this recognition are our valued customers. We made a Better Banking commitment to them. We want to thank them for continuing to put their trust in us,” Salcedo said.
“Our success could be attributed to our commitment to become a better bank for our customers and to our adherence to execution excellence as we build our third business pillar – retail banking,” he added.
The Banker, the international banking and finance magazine of the Financial Times Ltd., said banks that delivered solid financial results while demonstrating prowess in developing new products, services and the employment of new technology came out on top in the awards.
BPI supports Boracay residents, SMEs
Bank of the Philippine Islands has reaffirmed its commitment to improve the lives of all Boracay residents and businesses through its financial solutions and services.
For 11 years, the BPI Boracay branch has supported numerous enterprises on the island, helping them become successful businesses.
“Years ago, we saw the potential of Boracay as a tourist destination. Thus, we made sure that our presence enabled the growth of the community, at the same time providing an easy and convenient banking experience for the island’s many visitors,” BPI head of branch channels and sales Angelie King said.
The branch that started as a kiosk with three ATMs has moved to its current location at D’Mall on the Main Road, Station 2, in 2007.
BPI has further strengthened its foreign exchange services, including foreign exchange buying and selling in various currencies to support the booming tourism in the island.
