Bonded for life
Their charm has enamored the public since they were small. They were indemand as brand endorsers and commercial models.
Incredibly close, they often appear to think in unison, completing each other’s sentences, and connected from day one.
As they celebrate their 18th birthday, Mavy and Cassy Legaspi, the talented twins of Carmina Villarroel and Zoren Legaspi, decided to veer slightly from the traditional path with a Hollywood awards night-themed coming-of-age party.
“I want to share the celebration with Mavy and make it a night to remember for our friends and loved ones as well. There will be no usual 18 roses, candles, wishes. Instead, I created the 18 MC awards where we thank the people closest to our hearts,” shared Cassy.
She also revealed that they are hands-on with the preparations of the much-awaited celebration, making sure every detail would reflect their personalities, “Our theme is our very own awards night which isn’t too uptight, a little more millennial and loose. We decided on the theme, the food, invites and mostly everything — from as little as the color of the invitations to the menu, the set-up and venue itself. Our parents have also been with us through the whole preparation, they’re very hands-on and they help us weigh our choices.”
Last year, Mavy and Cassy have officially followed in their parents’ footsteps when they signed up with GMA Artist Center.
They are regularly seen hosting with their mom every Saturday morning in the family-oriented program
Sarap, ‘Di Ba? They are also mainstays of Studio 7 where they showcase show-stopping performances.
“For the both of us, it humbles us constantly when we hear good feedback. We take each taping day as a fun learning experience. Whether the comments are good or bad, we take note to always do better after every episode,” said Mavy.
In spite of being occupied with showbiz commitments, the two still consider education as their top priority, especially with college just around the corner.
Their close family ties is where they draw their biggest inspiration as manifested in their sunny disposition in life.
Mavy shared, “My mom and dad’s hard work and selflessness motivate us.”
Cassy echoed the same sentiment and added, “No family is ever perfect, and that is what everyone should know. There is no secret recipe to a happy family but to always put love first.”
Smarter beyond their years, the Kapuso stars aim to be mature and more responsible individuals as they come of age, steadfast with a strong heart and clear mind.
