ZAMBOANGA CITY – Bomb explosions rocked two towns in Lanao del Norte on Tuesday.

The Army’s First Division said there was no reported casualty in the explosions, but these triggered panic among residents.

Maj. Gen. Roseller Murillo, Joint Task Force Zam- PeLan chief, said the explosions occurred in front of a gasoline station in Lala town and near the municipal hall of Kauswagan.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, which occurred on the eve of the plebiscite for the Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL) in the province.

“Everything is under control... we encourage everyone not to panic and exercise their right to vote... We will respond to any eventuality... during and after the BOL election,” Murillo said.
