RPhs, be unbound and unfazed at PPS7!
The Philippine news has been recently filled with words of the measles outbreak, the war surrounding drugs of abuse, and the increasingly worrying antimicrobial resistance. Yet, one profession seems to be missing from the headlines: the pharmacist.
This Feb. 17, the Philippine Pharmacy Summit (PPS) returns to inspire both pharmacists and student pharmacists alike. With the theme, “Unbound x Unfazed: Unclasping the stereotypical chains and head-on tackling the different societal issues faced by a Filipino pharmacist,” this seventh installment aims to assert the drug experts’ role in the country’s leading issues today. For the first time since its launching, participants have the chance to choose their advocacy of interest and attend lectures pertaining to their choice.
PPS7 is now co-organized by the University of the Philippines Manila-College of Pharmacy and the De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute (DLSMHSI) - College of Pharmacy. It will be held on Feb. 17 at the DLSMHI Animo Gym.
So for pharmacists and future pharmacists: Be unbound! Be unfazed! Be the one of the healthcare professionals at the forefront of our country’s health system issues.
