TYKFI Hope Caravan reaches out to Benguet farmers

Dr. Lucio C. Tan, chairman and president of the Tan Yan Kee Foundation Inc. (TYKFI), is glad to note the improved vegetable production in Benguet after the TYKFI Hope Caravan reached out to farmers in the province badly hit by a series of typhoons late last year.

With the donation of farm inputs including vegetable seeds and sacks of fertilizer in December 2018, the Foundation has successfully helped address food shortage and high prices created by the destructive typhoons.

The project benefitted families of more than 400 farmers through livelihood opportunities in six barangays of Buguias and thousands of Filipino consumers through the ample supply of vegetables sold by the recipient farmers.
