Man hacks to death, burns pa

BACOLOD CITY – For allegedly refusing to transfer ownership of his properties to his son, a farmer was allegedly hacked to death and burned in Salvador Benedicto, Negros Occidental on Tuesday.

Initial investigat­ion showed that the incident occurred after Jun Jun Benarao, 36, had an argument with his father Gerardo, 55, at their residence in Sitio Kinabong, Barangay Igmaya-an.

Benarao also reportedly hacked his mother Sinona, 58, using a bolo. Sinona remains confined in a hospital in this city.

Police launched a manhunt for the suspect.
