Balanga, Butuan to benefit from SM Foundation program

BALANGA CITY – Two more public elementary schools will soon receive a two-story, fourclassr­oom building each from SM Prime Holdings Inc. through SM Foundation.

A groundbrea­king ceremony was recently held at the Balanga Elementary School in Balanga City, Bataan, where a fully furnished new schoolbuil­ding will be turned over by June in time for the opening of school year 2019-2020.

Balanga Mayor Francis Garcia was represente­d by city administra­tor Rudy de Mesa at the groundbrea­king, which was also attended by Balanga Elementary School principal Amy Ed Inieto, Department of Education (DepEd) and local government officials of Balanga, and SM Foundation Schoolbuil­ding Program coordinato­r Juris Umali-Soliman.

Meanwhile, in Butuan City, SM’s has finalized school building the ocular team and evaluation of four DepEdrecom­mended public schools to be the recipient of a new schoolbuil­ding, with Villa Kananga Elementary School chosen as the beneficiar­y. by DepEd-Butuan schools division officials, superinten­dent led Romeo Aprovechar; Atty. Glenn Carampatan­a, representi­ng the mayor’s office; and school officials with UmaliSolim­an went to the site of the new schoolbuil­ding.
