Astoria Hotels & Resorts invests P1.5 B in Palawan

-

Homegrown hotel chain Astoria Hotels & Resorts has invested P1.5 billion to date for the ongoing development of Astoria Palawan in Puerto Princesa City.

The eco-resort just added 30 new premier villas, all of which have direct access to the beachfront of the majestic Sulu Sea. This brings to 146 the total number of rooms for Astoria Palawan. AHR partnered anew with architect Ed Gallego from Cebu and the award-winning Atelier Almario to design the premier villas showcasing the distinctive vibe of its locality.

An additional food and beverage outlet, The Pavilion, will open to serve guests this quarter. This can also be reserved for private functions.

The total investment also covers the Palawan Waterpark by Astoria, which features an expansive wave pool, tall water slides and a lazy river ride, among others. “This investment is proof of our belief in the continued growth of foreign tourists, our commitment to develop the countryside as part of our nation building efforts, and to make a positive impact on human capital by providing avenues for gainful employment to our fellow Filipinos,” said Astoria president Jeffrey Ng.

Astoria Palawan also launched corporate social responsibility initiatives to help the underprivileged, recently hosting fisher folk and farmers to its Sikap Pinoy event wherein invited speakers shared life goals and simple financial educational tools with the locals.
