InLife bares executive promotions

Insular Life (InLife) recently announced the promotion of the following officers and executives: Maria Noemi Azura, president and CEO of Insular Health Care to InLife executive vice president and concurrent chief strategy officer; Vera Victoria Morales to senior vice president and chief investment officer; Geraldine Alvarez and Diana Rose Tagra to first vice president; Ruth Velasco to vice president; and Angela Bien to asst. vice president.

Azura steers Insular Health Care’s business operations into becoming a Tier 1 player in the HMO industry. As chief strategy officer of InLife, she leads the developmen­t of the short- and long-term business plans and pursues partnershi­ps that will enable the attainment of the company’s dual transforma­tion strategy.

She graduated from the De La Salle University with a degree in BS Commerce major in Accounting, and obtained her master in Business Administra­tion degree from the University of the Philippine­s. She is a certified public accountant.

Morales heads inLife’s investment management division (IMD), which formulates and implements investment strategies in support of shortand long-term goals of the company.

She graduated from the De La Salle University with degrees in AB Psychology and BS Commerce major in Accounting. She is a certified public accountant.

Alvarez heads the branch management division which directs the operations of all InLife’s field offices nationwide. She graduated from the College of the Holy Spirit with a degree in BS Commerce. She is a certified public accountant.

Tagra heads the new business division which oversees processing of new business applicatio­ns and underwriti­ng. She graduated from the Divine Word University with a degree in BS Medical Technology.

Velasco heads the fixed income desk of the IMD, and ensures optimum investment growth and competitiv­e income results across all fixed income portfolios and assigned funds within the defined investment risk parameters.

She graduated from the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila with a degree in BS in Business Administra­tion major in Accounting, and obtained her Master in Business Administra­tion degree from the Ateneo Graduate School of Business.

Bien heads the general accounting department which ensures, among others, the Group’s compliance to new and existing regulatory requiremen­ts relevant to finance operations, as well as adoption of the new accounting standards for Insurance Contracts.

She graduated from the De La Salle University-Manila with a degree in BS Accountanc­y. She is a certified public accountant.
