Twinings Cool Luxe Design competition awarding, tea appreciation event held
Twinings Philippines the original British tea maker which originated at the heart of sophisticated culture in London, recently concluded their “Twinings #Coolluxe Design Competition” held at one of the hottest casual dining bars in the metro – Brotzeit, located at the EDSA Shangri-la Plaza, Shaw Boulevard, Ortigas Center, Mandaluyong City last Nov. 29, 2018 in an intimate ‘tea party” event. This capped the successful series of university tour campaigns in selected top six universities namely, UP College CAFA department, Far Eastern University Manila CAFAD; University of Sto. TomasCFAD; St. Paul University QC; Miriam College QC and the University of the Asia and the Pacific
Their goal is to reach out to the younger generation and introduce to them the world of Twinings Tea in a different approach – with the London “Cool Luxe” theme – a term coined to define the up and coming Londoner who aspires for the finer things in life but with a modern, sophisticated and individualistic style that they want to showcase to the world. With this campaign, they were able to connect with the younger segment via the design competition. This campaign also aims to bring both prestige and recognition to all the students and their respective schools upon participation, as all the winners (the top 5; top vote; runners up and the grand prize) will be featured on Twinings social media pages like the IG Page–Inst agram@ twining sph;FB@tw in in gs philippines and the of- ficial contest website https ://
twiningsdesign.com. The winners’ designs will also have the chance to be used in the next Twinings premium gift items in the coming months.
The guests were officially welcomed by Twinings Philippines brand manager, Rose Gulapa. Right after, the guests fully experienced what it was like to have an actual afternoon tea, as the Brotzeit team served a variety of tasty sandwiches, cakes and pastries, paired with a delectable hot cup of Twinings tea. While enjoying their afternoon tea, the guests were also serenaded by some of the schools’ homegrown talents.
An exclusive short tea appreciation talk was also conducted by the Twinings brand ambassador for Southeast Asia – Charles Smith, wherein he briefly shared the Twinings heritage and the history of Earl Grey, the types of tea, and how to make the perfect cup of tea.
Winners of the design competition were awarded by country manager of AB Food and Beverages Philippines Michael Fajardo; Twinings brand ambassador of Southeast Asia Charles Smith and Twinings Philippines brand manager Rose Gulapa. The event was hosted by the seasoned event DJ/event host and marketing executive of VIVA live entertainment Lee Viloria.
