Strengthening bonds
Global electronics and home entertainment giant LG Electronics Philippines and international online streaming pioneer Netflix Philippines strengthened their partnership with an exclusive advance screening of the newest original Korean series Kingdom.
Over a hundred attendees watched the screening with the impressive LG OLED TVs at the Korean Cultural Center (KCC) in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. Guests dressed up in traditional Korean hanbok and posed against the realistic Kingdom backdrop and roaming “zombies.”
Before the viewing, the Nara Team performed a traditional Korean fan dance, after which, a Korean feast dinner was served.
Netflix’s Kingdom is set in Korea’s ancient Joseon Period and follows the journey of a crown prince sent on a suicide mission to investigate a gruesome plague spreading inside the kingdom — only to find zombies threatening his reign and his people.
LG Philippines recently launched its 30th anniversary TV — the OLED B8 4K TV. The company was delighted to share this exciting milestone with some of the country’s brightest personalities as brand ambassadors like basketball player LA Tenorio, actor
Gil Cuerva, Binibining Pilipinas Grand International 2016 Nicole Cordoves and vlogger Dani Barretto. The event was hosted by car and road safety advocate and LG TV ambassador James Deakin.
LG Philippines, a Korean company, also donated five 55-inch UHD 4K TVs (four 55UK6300 and one 55UK6500) to the KCC. Managing director Inkwun Heo said, “It is an important celebration of the strong relationship between Korea and the Philippines, which started in 1949. To honor this friendship, we at LG always go beyond the call of duty to provide excellent home entertainment products and appliances to millions of Filipinos who have supported us from the beginning. It is our pleasure to contribute in strengthening the bond between our two countries.”
