5-cocker slated Friday at PCC

Big-time cockers of Batangas and Metro Manila take centerstage in the PL2 Malainin 5-Cock Derby Friday at the Pasay City Cockpit.

The event, which has more than 100 fights lined up, will be Pasay Cockpit’s third ‘Big Event’ for 2019 after the Bulldog 6–Cock Derby last Feb. 8 (171 fights) and Friday’s Tiger Shark and NML 6-Cock Derby (132 fights).

Batangas’ PL2 Malainin group, grand finalist in this year’s World Slasher Cup 1 and World Pitmasters Cup, will host the event in cooperation with Sagupaan Superfeeds and Complexor 3000.

Meanwhile, smalltime cockers collide today in the Pasay Hackfight Circuit 3-Cock Derby.

The second leg (7-bullstag derby) of LGBA Cocker of the Year series comes next on March 11.

Current frontrunners in the COTY race are Hermie Pagtalunan (Franzopia), Jed Antonio (Jedi Master), Joven and Jess Mateo (Jubilum and Ninety One entries), Allan Chan (WWW) and Alex/ Aristotle Aguirre (Lightning Blade Alexa).
