Academy of Dentistry Int’l 42nd anniversary, biennial convocation

The Academy of Dentistry InternationalPhilippines Section will hold its 42nd anniversary and 21st biennial convocation on March 16 at the Unilab Bayanihan Center Annex on Pioneer St., Pasig City.

According to ADIRPS current president fellow Armin Segarra who is on his second term, highlights of the event are the keynote address of Jason De Villa, director of information and communication technologies office, University of Asia and the Pacific, the induction of five new active members as fellows, and introduction of five new active members who were earlier nominated and are given two years to present and write a publishable paper on a dentistry topic. If these new active members succeed, they will be inducted as fellows during the next biennial convocation.

The ADI-RP Section is an organization of incumbent and former members of the faculty of accredited and reputable dental schools in the Philippines. It is devoted to the continuing growth, development and progress of dentistry and the improvement of the oral health of the Filipino people through the promotion of quality dental education, continuing education, research, faculty development, values formation, and the ethical and moral practice of the dental profession.

Its mother organization, Academy of Dentistry International is the concept of Albert Wasserman, DDS, of San Mateo, California, USA. This transnational organization is devoted to the advancement of dentistry throughout the world and to the elevation of dental standards by continuing education. Along with the sponsorship of dental education, research and patient care projects, this Academy directly aids in the improvement of the dental and oral health and well-being of people worldwide.
