-

PhilSeven Foundation Inc. (PFI), the CSR arm of Philippine Seven Corp. (7-Eleven Philippines), recently turned over a community playground to the Malolos City government. The public play area is located in Barangay Mojon, the largest among 51 barangays in Malolos City with an estimated population of 28,000 households.

Malolos is the first beneficiary of the “Everyday Play” project of PFI for the entire Bulacan province. “PFI is privileged to provide the children of Malolos a venue for real play in this era of computers and online gaming. We are aware that play is a valuable activity for kids to develop their physical, emotional, social and cognitive skills. The Everyday Play community playground is the foundation’s lasting gift for these kids to enjoy their childhood and bring with them joyful memories which they need later for a positive and successful adult life,” 7-Eleven Phils. operation director and PFI vice chairman Liwayway Fernandez said.

Present during the unveiling ceremonies were (in photo) officials of the Malolos City government and 7-Eleven Philippines led by Malolos City Vice Mayor Gilbert Gatchalian (4th from left) and vice chairman Liwayway Fernandez (5th from left), with (from left) Kim Lucas Quetua, Malolos admin assistant Gertrudes de Castro, Mojon Barangay chairman Narciso Francisco, Malolos CSWDO head Lolita SP Santos, 7- Eleven corporate secretary and PFI trustee Atty.
