Beware of fake ads online – PAL

- – Richmond Mercurio

Flag carrier Philippine Airlines has warned the public against fake advertisements online offering free PAL business class tickets.

In an advisory issued yesterday, PAL said it only uses its official website, www. philippineairlines.com, and official Facebook page, @flypal, as avenues for its digital advertisements and announcements.

“Vigilance is essential in ensuring that you do not fall victims to these bogus ads. Logging on to these sites will compromise or breach the privacy of your personal data,” the carrier said.

PAL said it is coordinating with the authorities to address the matter.

“We will take legal action against the perpetrators of this illegal act whose sole purpose is to sow public confusion,” it said.

PAL, the country’s only four-star global airline, completed last month its new IT system, which is powered by the nextgeneration Amadeus Altea technology for more efficient passenger service.

The improvements in products and customer services PAL is undertaking are in line with its long-term goal to achieve five-star premium airline status.
