Take your studies seriously, Angara urges students
Now that public education from kindergarten to college is free, students should take their studies seriously and work toward becoming productive citizens, Sen. Sonny Angara said yesterday.
The reelectionist senator made the call as most schools ended their academic year in recent weeks.
“As students, your responsibility is to study hard because that’s your passport to employment and good life,” Angara said.
“Education is a great socioeconomic equalizer and a stepping stone to something higher and brighter,” he said.
Angara co-authored the free college education law and the free kindergarten law.
