Brillante’s Alpha wins Jury Prize in France

Brillante Mendoza’s Alpha, The Right

to Kill won the Jury Prize Ex-Aequo at the Le Beaune Festival International du Film Policier de Beaune (11th Beaune International Police Film Festival) held in eastern France, April 3 to 7.

Written by Troy Espiritu and produced by Carlo Valenzona, the film is set against the Philippine government’s war on drugs as the police force plans to assault the lair of a notorious drug dealer within the slums of Metro Manila. It stars Allen Dizon (in photo with Brillante), Baron Geisler and Elijah Filamor.
