Cargo Movers annihilate Lady Realtors

F2 Logistics flaunted its might anew, scoring the most lopsided set in league history on its way to a 25-22, 25-3, 25-12 victory over lowly Sta. Lucia in the Philippine Superliga All-Filipino Conference yesterday at the Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

Fil-Am sensation Kalei Mau sizzled with 13 markers on 12 kills while Ara Galang added 11 points built on nine attacks and two blocks as the Cargo Movers extended their unbeaten run to eight games.

Majoy Baron contribute­d nine points including five blocks while Kianna Dy and skipper Aby Maraño chipped in six apiece for F2 which handed Sta. Lucia an eighth loss against a lone win.

Floor generals Dawn Macandili provided 24 digs and seven excellent receptions while Michelle Cobb put up 14 excellent sets.

After erasing a 10-19 deficit to take the first set at 25-22, there was no stopping the Cargo Movers, with their rampage highlighte­d by their sensationa­l 22-point triumph in the second set.

The Cargo Movers’ second-set win was the most lopsided in the six-year league history, surpassing their previous record of 25-5 first set win over Cherrylume in the 2017 All-Filipino Conference.

Meanwhile, Sisi Rondina showed her MVP form, erupting for 26 points on 23 kills off the bench to power reigning champion Petron to a come-from-behind win over Cignal, 17-25, 21-25, 25-11, 25-17, 15-10.

Remy Palma added 14 points, Bernadeth Pons chipped in 10 markers and 22 digs while Rhea Dimaculang­an had 28 excellent sets for the Blaze Spikers who repeated their five-set win over the HD Spikers in the first round.
