- – Ralph Edwin Villanueva

Anti-narcotics officers confiscated at least P3.4 million worth of shabu during a drug sting in Pasay City before dawn yesterday.

Suspected drug pushers Graciano Rombo, Roderick Pisig and Alican Pagayaw were apprehended in the sting, police said.

The operation was conducted by operatives of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency at the parking area of Harbor Square at around 1:45 a.m.

Police said they seized a total of 500 grams of shabu from the suspects.

Probers said the suspects allegedly sold 200 grams of shabu worth P250,000 to a policeman who posed as a buyer.

Authorities said they recovered 300 more grams of shabu, two cell phones and a sport utility vehicle reportedly used by the suspects in the illegal drug trade.

The suspects operate in southern Metro Manila, police said.

Probers said they found that the suspects sourced the drugs from Cavite.

Police said the drug deal was supposed to be made in a condominium in Parañaque City, but the transaction was moved to Pasay City.

NCRPO chief Lt. Gen. Guillermo Eleazar ordered a manhunt for the other members of the group.

“With their arrest, we have gathered information to build up on the case. We hope this will result in a successful operation against the other suspects,” Eleazar said.

The suspects are being held by police on charges of violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
