Sino Ang May Sala? finale reveals real culprit

- — VER PAULINO

Deception and complicated secrets come to an end as Kapamilya Network’s Sino Ang May Sala? Mea Culpa concludes its run tomorrow, Aug. 9.

They did it all together — burying a corpse, taking away a grieving mother’s baby, and manufacturing one lie after another — all in the name of friendship and protecting themselves. But one question remains unanswered: Did one of them really kill their friend?

Truth and justice will take a stand in the last week of the Kapamilya primetime series where Juris (Bela Padilla), Drei (Tony Labrusca), Gaylord (Sandino Martin), Lolita (Ivana Alawi), and Greco (Kit Thompson) are desperately distancing themselves from the murder of their friend Bogs (Ketchup Eusebio).

Will the law school barkada stand and fight together to maintain their innocence, or will they conspire against each other to save themselves? Fina’s victory consequently put a dent in Drei’s reputation and chances of winning the senatorial race — which his powerful political family is trying to fix by hindering Fina from finding a job and being able to support Leyna’s medical needs. As the two mothers fight for the love of one child, the barkada’s bond seems to be wavering, after Greco divulged important information about the death of Fina’s mother.

As Fina prepares to battle in court, Juris’ mother Dolores (Agot Isidro) — a journalist who was once Fina’s ally and knows the whole truth about that fateful night in Baguio — now walks with her life in peril.

Will Juris, Drei, Gaylor, Lolita and Greco continue to betray each other until the truth finally comes out? Who is Bogs’ murderer — who is the real culprit?

The series premiered to positive feedback and impressive ratings last April 29. Some of the lead stars expressed their feelings on the show’s finale.

“I’m so lucky dahil sobrang galing ng mga artistang kasama ko at kahit baguhang artista lang ako, they are always kind and I am just happy to have spent it with such a great cast and team,” said Tony.

“All of us will have closure. Viewers will see where our characters go. That’s what they should watch out for,” shared Bela.

Meanwhile, Jodi shared her thoughts when asked about the return of death penalty in the country, “I respect the law of the land. But personally, I believe that every person has the capacity and right to reform.”

Directed by Dan Villegas, Andoy Ranay, Darnel Joy Villaflor and Jerry Sineneng, the primetime series also stars Ivana, Alawi, Boboy Garovillo, Jay Manalo, Maria Isabel Lopez, Allan Paule, Carla Martinez, Leo Rialp, Alvin Anson, Menggie Cobarrubias, Via Veloso and Janice de Belen.
