Manulife Philippines’ Peso Smart financial literacy program bagged two awards from Insurance Asia and Philippine CSR Leadership. The Peso Smart Program was recognized for its unique and innovative teaching approach and relevance to the rising need of Filipino communities.
Peso Smart is a series of weekend classes for public elementary school students that aim to teach them the importance of saving, budgeting, and investing. As of this year, it has produced 60 graduates from five public elementary schools in Makati, Mandaluyong, and Quezon City.
Insurance Asia Awards aims to honor companies that rise above challenges and make the most of the lucrative opportunities in the market. Meanwhile, the Philippine CSR Leadership Awards aims to recognize organizations that have a significant and positive impact for people and their communities.
At the same time, Manulife Philippines was recognized as the Philippines’ Best Employer Brand at the 14th Employer Branding Awards. The Employer Branding Institute and CMO Asia recognize companies which use effective marketing communications for attracting, developing, and retaining talent.
