David top bet in Petron nat’l karting third leg

-

Zach David seeks a reprise of his amazing victory over Asian junior champion Bianca Bustamante and other older rivals when the third leg of the 2019 Petron Blaze 100 ROK GP Super Karting Series fires off with Rounds 5 and 6 today and tomorrow at the Clark International Speedway kart track.

A 10-year-old fifth grader from Keys School Manila, David topped the rain-drenched Round 3 at the same 1.2-kilometer track over Bustamante and Japan’s Hisachi Kobayashi last month before finishing third to another Japanese, Ayato Iwasaki, and Bustamante in Round 4.

Apart from posting the second leg’s best tally in the 21-lap races among senior, junior, veteran and master karters, David also swept the ROK GP Blaze 100 junior titles.

Melwin William Tan also sets out to duplicate his two-round sweep of the Mini ROK class, while Shaniah Quinones tries to repeat in the 10-lap Petron Academy Intermediate class over Luigi Co, Zebb Etebe and other promising karters.
