Highlands Ladies Cup draws 200 entries

The Highlands Ladies Cup has set the stage for its 14th staging on Oct. 5 at Tagaytay Midlands Golf Club.

Like in all its previous editions, the tournament will have a shotgun start at 8 a.m. with around 200 players expected to see action, according to the organizing Tagaytay Highlands Ladies Chapter headed by tournament co-chairs Dionne Cu and Connie Mamaril.

Aside from the centerpiec­e ladies division, other titles to be disputed under the System 36 scoring format are the men’s Classes A, B and C and seniors category.

As part of THLC’s social commitment, the tournament also serves as a fund-raiser with part of its proceeds going to the Sisters of Mary Boys & Girls Town Complex in Silang, Cavite.

The W Group, the holding company of one of the country’s top business groups in food ingredient, real estate and investment industries, and Auto Nation Group, Inc., the exclusive distributo­r of Mercedes-Benz in the country, head a mix of backers as Diamond sponsors of the 18-hole tournament, which features some of the country’s top golfing lady executives and corporate bigwigs.
