2 Valenzuela drug dens dismantled

Two alleged drug dens were dismantled and 11 suspects were arrested during separate raids by the Philippine Drug Enforcemen­t Agency (PDEA) in Valenzuela City on Saturday night.

Armed with search warrants, PDEA agents led by Director Joel Plaza swooped down on a residentia­l area in Barangay Gen. T. De Leon and apprehende­d suspected drug den maintainer Feliza Cleofas, 57.

Cleofas was arrested along with Cynthia Pescador, 55; Mark Lester Nicolas, 26; Lorenzo Musni, and Ernesto de la Cruz, 55.

Authoritie­s said they confiscate­d P68,000 worth of shabu and drug parapherna­lia from the suspects.

Another PDEA team raided a house along Riverside street in the same barangay where suspected drug den operator Geraldo Pasion, 59, was nabbed.

Police arrested Pasion’s companions Lodivico Palma, 51; Rodel Miguel, 39; Richard Perez, 33; Cesar Narag, 39, and Roberto Asis, 39.

In Caloocan City, Shiela Marie Bajard, 28, was taken into police custody for alleged possession of shabu along Libis Baesa in Barangay 160.

In Quezon City, six persons were apprehende­d by PDEA operatives during raid on a suspected drug den along Agham Road in Barangay Bagong Pag-asa.

They were Sander Maulapat, 21; Lester Pintac, 23; Terryboy Afable, 22; Felix Talisic, 21; Jesus Tupaz, 42, and Raymond Sequito.

Maulapat was tagged by the PDEA as the alleged maintainer of the drug den.

Police said they seized around 15 grams of shabu worth P102,000 and drug parapherna­lia.

Thirteen other drug suspects were arrested in Barangays San Isidro Labrador, Culiat, San Martin De Porres, Obrero and E. Rodriguez.
