PLSAI joins int’l security mngm’t meet

More than 500 security practition­ers together with Pacman Legendary Security Agency Inc. (PLSAI), a trusted security agency in the country, has joined the 13th Security Management Internatio­nal Convention at Okada Resort and Casino Grand Ballroom in Parañaque City, Metro Manila, recently.

Sen. Manny Pacquiao, chairman of PLSAI, has appointed Cpt. Mel Hallar, PACSP, an operation manager of PLSAI, as representa­tive in the two-day convention with the theme ‘Facing New Challenges With Great Expectatio­n” in the security industry business.

Among the participan­ts are security practition­ers, property managers, military, police, human relation practition­ers and other profession­als in security matters.

The convention was organized by the Philippine Society for Industrial Security (PSIS), the largest organizati­on of security profession­als.

Hallar said resource speakers from abroad discussed the following subjects: threat awareness and personal protection, intelHalla­r ligence matters, addressing labor problems related to insurgents, cyber security and mall security.

Other local lecturers spoke on the highlights of Republic Act RA 11058, Money laundering: An economic burden, Data Privacy Act, State of Insurgency in the country, private transport and IED awareness, techniques, tactics and procedures and the role of media were also discussed during the event.

“The primarily objective of the event is the develop the security personnel through a highly motivated team of competent and empowered profession­als,” Hallar said.

Lawyer Brando Viernesto, president and licensee of the PLSAI agency, said Pacquiao’s aim is to deploy countrywid­e security personnel not only to generate more employment for licensed guards but also to enhanced their skills, education, knowledge and equip them with sophistica­ted security gadgets.
