Central Luzon Expo highlights jobs, business opportunit­ies

Career matching, job placement and other business opportunit­ies will highlight DOLE - Trabaho, Negosyo at Kabuhayan (TNK): Job and Business Opportunit­ies, a major component of the “Central Luzon Expo” on Oct. 17 and 18, at the Asean Convention Center, Clark Freeport Zone.

DOLE - Trabaho, Negosyo at Kabuhayan (TNK) is an inter-agency initiative of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and public and private sector partners, in line with the government’s goal of generating 7.5 million jobs by 2022.

National government agencies, including PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, Social Security System (SSS), Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and National Bureau of Investigat­ion (NBI), will be on hand to assist job applicants with pre-employment documentar­y requiremen­ts, while Technical Education and Skills Developmen­t Authority (TESDA) will promote training opportunit­ies and DOLE will address labor-related issues and concerns.

Job applicants are advised to come in proper business attire and bring multiple copies of resumes supported by education credential­s, certificat­es of employment, clearances, and other pertinent pre-employment requiremen­ts.

Aside from the job fair, Central Luzon Expo will also feature a display of provincial products and services, business-to-business meetings, a procuremen­t matching activity, and an industry forum.

CLExpo is organized by the Central Luzon Growth Corridor Foundation Inc. CLGCFI is composed of seven governors of the provinces of Aurora, Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Tarlac and Zambales; DTI Undersecre­tary for industry and investment­s; and DTI-3 regional director. Also lending their support to the event are the Department­s of Tourism (DOT), Agricultur­e (DA), Transporta­tion (DOTr), Philippine Informatio­n Agency, Subic Bay Metropolit­an Authority, Clark Developmen­t Corp., Bases Conversion and Developmen­t Authority, TIEZA, Subic Clark Alliance for Developmen­t and the Board of Investment­s.
