LRT-2 re­sumes free rides for stu­dents

Start­ing to­day, stu­dents can avail them­selves again of free rides at the Light Rail Transit Line 2 (LRT-2).

Stu­dents will not be charged for tak­ing the train from 5 a.m. to 6 a.m. and be­tween 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., ac­cord­ing to the Light Rail Transit Au­thor­ity, which op­er­ates the LRT-2.

The man­age­ment sus­pended the free rides for stu­dents af­ter the LRT-2 im­ple­mented limited trips from Cubao sta­tion in Que­zon City to Recto sta­tion in Manila.

Free rides are avail­able only on week­days, ex­cept hol­i­days.

The LRT-2 an­nounced that its op­er­a­tions would start at 5 a.m. from Cubao to Recto sta­tions.

The San­tolan and Katipunan sta­tions would re­main closed. The Anonas sta­tion would re­sume op­er­a­tions soon, ac­cord­ing to the LRT-2 man­age­ment.
