Filipino couple elected ICCFM president
The Christian Family Movement of the Philippines announced recently that their past national president, Pip and Wilma Cua, were elected president of the International Confederation of Christian Family Movements (ICCFM) at a world meeting of families in Mexico. Pip and Wilma are also immediate past president of Continental Asia CFM.
Pat and Patty Crowley of CFM USA brought this pioneer family movement to the Philippines in 1956. Initially led by Tony and Teresa Nieva and followed by Sito and Sony Sison and Joe and Annie Meily and many others after them every two years, CFM Philippines is also the first to have marriage and family life apostolate programs in the country. The organization and movement which is in the mainstream of parishes continues to do God’s work in the various stages of human life.
Pip and Wilma have crossed over to Vietnam and Indonesia working with Claretian missionaries. Upon election, the couple immediately met with the leadership of CFM USA in California. They are now headed for Brazil where a Continental South America Assembly will be held.
In the first quarter of 2020, Pip and Wilma will be visiting Melbourne and Sydney for CFM Oceania.
