Has your child ever experienced the joy of running across an open field, the wind blowing on his face, to fly a kite? If that sounds like something your child will enjoy, join a fun-filled Sunday adventure you and your child should not miss.

In celebration of the National Gifted Week 2019, the Philippine Center for Gifted Education Inc. (PCGE) and the Kite Association of the Philippines in partnership with PROMIL FOUR, will let children and their parents design and fly a kite on Nov. 24 during the “Let Your Gift Soar” event at Luneta Park.

For this event, children can create colorful kites and watch them soar. PROMIL FOUR i-Shine art mentor and arts director of Masterpiece Movement Kara Escay will be facilitating the kite making activity. There will also be exciting surprises for everyone to look forward to.

Aside from the festivities, PCGE and PROMIL FOUR will also be holding a two-day Giftedness Conference on Nov. 29 and 30 at Hive Hotel, Quezon City where experts from different fields will discuss the eight different gifts – Linguistic, Musical, Bodily-Kinesthetic, Logical-Mathematical, Naturalist,

Interpersonal, Intrapersonal, Spatial-Relation.

Join this conference to further understand child’s strengths and how these can be discovered and nurtured as he grows. Among the panel of experts include Shaira Luna, Kara David, Roselle Ambubuyog, Dr. Carlos Arcilla, Ryan Tumbocon, and Kim Atienza.

“Through this event, we would like everyone to realize that giftedness is multifaceted. A kid who can play the piano is equally great as a kid who can paint, sing, or dance. What we want to do is for them to maximize these gifts,” said Dr. Leticia PeñanoHo, president of PCGE.
